In the evening, when the sun sets over the Pantano de Pena and the stars appear, we rediscover the nature of silence. In the unspoilt solitude of the Matarraña, an area of outstanding natural beauty and an undiscovered corner of Spain, the Milky Way still stretches out across the night sky. Rich in flora and fauna and a haven for wildlife, the area also boosts a few thousand years of human presence and history turned into stone, turning every vacation into a great adventure.
This is where we offer our idyllically located and environmentally friendly house to those seeking a holiday accommodation that allows them to stay in touch with nature and history. Casa El Pinar offers its guests the opportunity to relax, discover, and enjoy the treasures of this unique area with the least possible ecological impact.
Casa El Pinar is located in the heart of the Matarraña / Matarranya county, at the foot of the Puertos de Beceite / Ports de Beseit, where the three autonomous communities of Aragón, Catalonia, and Valencia meet. Offering stunning views across the Pantano de Pena reservoir, the house lies approximately 5 km outside Beceite/Beseit, a charming medieval mountain village on the Matarraña River and gateway to the Els Ports de Beseit nature reserve. The county headquarters, Valderrobres / Vall-de-roures, with its narrow cobblestone streets and towered by a 13th-century castle and church, is some 9km away. Valderrobres was awarded as one of the most stunning villages of Spain in April 2013.
The house is surrounded by 2 acres of pristine mountain forests, dominated by pine trees, ilex, and Mediterranean herbage. The surroundings invite extensive outdoor activities, discoveries, and visits.
